Visit TCBC"I would like to support the Jack & Jill foundation. My nephew (Oisin, who is now 5 years old) suffered a severe brain injury at birth when he was starved of oxygen and now requires 24 hour care. The Jack & Jill foundation provided a nurse to care for him one day per week which gave his parents some respite and time to dedicate to their other son Eoin. Although Oisin and his parents longer qualify for the help from J&J his parents speak so highly of the help and support they received from J&J and when they can they pay for the same nurse. ... read more

I have bred puppies and sold them to the guide dogs in France and Ireland. I have also gifted puppies to the charity. ... read more

"I would like to help Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children in Crumlin [Children's Medical & Research Foundation (CMRF)]. A very close friend of mine lost his son, Rioghnan (3), to Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome 3 weeks ago. He had 3 successful operations on his heart since he was born. 3 ½ years ago but his heart started to fail in November of this year. Rioghnan was on the top of the waiting list for a heart transplant but unfortunately none came available and he ran out of time. Rioghnan had been in hospital in Dublin the same time as my Father so our families have been going through a lot together. I have also spent time in Crumlin over the past number of months and I have witnessed, first-hand, the amazing work that they do. The new 25 bed Children's Heart Centre in the hospital was built by voluntary contributions and the drive of Orla Franklin, Paediatric Cardiologist. Every year, they create a calendar to raise money. Rioghnan was in this year's one for the month of July (pic attached) and also last. I have no direct connection with them other than experiencing the amazing work that they do for children and the families of sick children. If there is anything I can do to help get this project off the ground, let me know. I think that it is a really great idea. ... read more
